Rotary Honours Johan van Dyk

The Montagu Nature Garden’s Tuesday morning teas resumed in the first week of April after the usual summer shutdown, and catered to a record number of visitors.

The occasion was highlighted by a presentation to Johan van Dyk, curator of the gardens for the past fifteen years.

Johan’s work came to an end when he retired recently but it will never be forgotten. Among the many tributes he received was Rotary International’s highest award, the ‘Paul Harris Fellowship’.

Keith Poole, President of the Breede River Winelands chapter of Rotary made the medal presentation.
